Nebraska joins the civilized world!

The remaining islands of superstition and idolatrous fear are now Illinois and Wisconsin. Huskers fans, it's time to celebrate by buying your wife her very own Kimber or Wilson. Nothing says "I love you" like the gift of a finely crafted 1911, and don't forget, Mother's Day is coming up! I can personally think of no better way of preventing firearm violence than by being ready to shoot back.

(to be fair to Nebraskans, open carry has long been legal there)

I'm sorry but there needs to be more gun control laws b/c of the escalating gun violence. The waiting period needs to increase to 1 year so criminals may forget about commiting the crime a year later. From what I know, most criminals go to the gun store, give their personal info, let the state check their background, pay with credit card, then comes back after the waiting period to p/up their purchase.

As soon as they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. Our founding fathers didn't write in the right to keep and bear arms just because they thought it might be a good idea.

They understood the need for it in order to keep us truely free.

Absolutely b/c what if the police do not show up on time? The only ones who can defend you is you and your guns.

mercy now - Doesn't it get uncomfortable being on both sides of the fence?

Bert! - Until they get over the need to wear bright red (at least visibly), I can't concur that Nebraska is civilized.

and *cough* *sputter* $3695 for a Wilson compact, tactical 1911? Ouch!

It's actually the wearing of black and gold which is the sign of barbarism, as CU fans demonstrated more than adequately during their latest losses to the Huskers and Kansas State. Even the alumni association is starting to get embarassed by this....

Put on a nice red sweater and you'll see how you love Cherry enough to get her the very best. :^)

Don't worry. We're working our butts off to get it passed in Wisconsin! Of course, I'm only a few miles from MN, where I was born. I could just move....

Ah, it's much more enjoyable to just elect a new governor and be a part of the revolution!

I wish you well, Joey! (hoping for reciprocity too...)
