Bert, didn't you hear? Barack Obama was inaugurated yesterday. Global warming, like poverty, homelessness, and diseases of cuddly kittens, is FINISHED.
On that note, it should be interesting to see if the media coverage of GCC shifts. It's already taken a beating from the Siberian error scandal, and the notably cool last couple of years. Add to that a decreased incentive to harp on the negative, and the whole GCC thing might get reaaaaaaal quiet soon. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I'll be watching.
In the era of law dictated by precedent, there is precedent for such an action by the AG of Ca.: Colorado's Amendment 2 was approved by the People of Colorado. It was then set aside and declared unConstitutional by the courts.
Bah.
Mark--true, but it was done because of the federal Constitution and by the federal courts, not the attorney general. I agree that the Amendment 2 case was horrible, but this is an order of magnitude worse or more. There was at least a semblance of logic for the Romer case, after all. Not so here.
